Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology

Position Summary:

The Clinical Program (PsyD) at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University in New York City seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology. We are a vibrant and collegial faculty whose mission is to train highly effective, professional, and knowledgeable scholar-practitioners who are committed to life-long learning in clinical psychology. The program is unique in its structure, providing a shared foundation of common principles and relational competencies as well as specialization tracks in both CBT and Psychodynamic approaches. Trainees have opportunities in a variety of contexts with diverse populations through our Parnes Clinic as well as through partnerships with NYC externship sites.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include developing an independent program of research, mentoring students in doctoral level research, graduate teaching, and ongoing evaluation of student clinical competencies.

Experience & Educational Background:

The candidate should be licensed or license eligible in New York State as a clinical psychologist at the time of hire.

Applicants with a strong track record of clinical experience and research productivity showing promise of grant funding are sought. Strong preference will be given to applicants who conduct research and can contribute to teaching and clinical training in measurement and psychological assessment.

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $125,000

Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology offers three APA-accredited doctoral programs: Clinical Psy.D., School-Clinical-Child Psy.D., and Clinical Ph.D. with health emphasis, a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Master of Arts in Special Education. The Max and Celia Parnes Family Psychological and Psychoeducational Services Clinic is the training center of the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and offers low-cost, state-of-the-art mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in the Bronx and the Greater New York City area, especially those who cannot otherwise afford or access these services within the community.
