Cirrus Logic's Mixed Signal Audio Verification/Validation Engineering team is looking for an Intern Validation Engineer who will validate functionality and characterize high performance mixed-signal analog converters, Class D digital power amplifiers and digital interface products using automated test procedures. Please note this is a Spring 2024 internship.

Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers with the development and production of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor integrated circuits
  • Perform electrical bench and ATE analysis
  • Gather and summarize data
  • Design and build test hardware
  • Manage yield enhancement and cost reduction projects for ramping products
  • NPI support including matrix lot review, GRR, CPK, and test program release and production hardware buy-off
  • Interface with cross-function groups to manage NPI production ramp deliverables and timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Pursuing BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Mixed-signal product engineering experience
  • Lab equipment use (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, waveform generators, and power supplies)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to improve designs and repeatedly attempt to develop solutions to difficult problems
  • Knowledge in yield analysis and data analysis techniques (ANOVA, Regression, PAT, SBL, GRR)
  • Knowledge in data analysis using tools such as (Spotfire, JMP, PDF, Excel)
  • knowledge and experience in high volume production ramps
  • Knowledge of test hardware debug and schematic tracing
  • Experience with integrated circuit testing and test setup
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Teradyne UFlex, Excerra, Catalyst test systems
  • Linux/Unix shell scripting
  • Knowledge of IC or board-level test and failure analysis
This is a hybrid remote position and will follow a 2+ day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs and team preference. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
This opportunity is available for the summer 2025 semester only. It is available only to students currently enrolled in a BS program in Electrical Engineering maintaining a GPA of 3.6 or above, and who will be returning to school for at least one semester following completion of his/her internship. Candidate must be available for full-time employment during the internship.
Cirrus Logic follows a 2+ day in-office work schedule but interns should expect to be in the office more often, up to 5 days per week, based on business needs and team preference. Interns must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning their internship with Cirrus Logic.
