Inova's Women's Health Integrated Research Center has a great opportunity for a Post Doctorate Cancer Research Fellow with experience in "proteomics research" or "single cell proteomics".

The Post Doctoral Cancer Research Fellow is responsible to plan and conduct research experiments related to studies implementing single cell proteomics technologies for spatially-resolved cancer tissue microenvironment analyses.

This is a full-time Monday-Friday position.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Participate in clinical proteomics studies and participate in research involving human subjects. They will interact directly with clinicians, surgeons, and pathologists to fulfill the aims of the research projects.
  • Collaborates with Research Professionals: Experience working closely with clinicians, surgeons, and pathologists to integrate clinical insights into research.
  • Understanding the clinical relevance of proteomic findings and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide arc of research professionals to achieve research goals.
  • Experience working with human tissues and knowledge of handling clinical samples under appropriate ethical and safety regulations (e.g., IRB protocols).
  • Adheres to accounting principles, regulatory guidelines and Inova policies related to clinical trials.


Qualifications:

Experience:



  • One (1) year of human/Translational/basic research-oriented involvement.
  • Single Cell Proteomics and Spatially-Resolved Analysis preferred.
  • Clinical; Proteomics Studies and Interaction with Researchers/Physicians/Clinical Staff preferred.


Education:



  • Doctorate Degree - MD, PhD or equivalent degree.


Certification:



  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for MD candidates.
