This position is based on funding from University of California Office of the President (UCOP). The full salary range for the Assistant Training Manager / Instructional Designer is $66,500 - $118,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $97,840 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

As part of the recruitment process, a work sample and presentation(s) may be required from identified finalists.

The Assistant Training Manager / Instructional Designer participates as a training, education, and instructional design professional in a systemwide program or project. The individual develops & delivers training (instructor-led and online), selects technologies and tools, creates supportive learning activities, and develops new training in response to the University's needs. In collaboration with others, the position also creates multimedia content and produces according to an established schedule. The individual will analyze needs and develop recommendations to address a wide range of training issues. The Assistant Training Manager / Instructional Designer also provides support for testing courses to ensure they are functional, designed with learning in mind, and compliant. The individual services on a Center of Excellence (COE) team on projects that will have University of California (UC) system wide impact.
