Job Description

The University of Missouri Family and Community Medicine is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Family Medicine Obstetrics faculty physician to join our esteemed department.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to an academically rich environment while providing exceptional care to our diverse patient population. Seeking a faculty member to contribute to its mission of improving the health of Missourians while creating exemplary care environments for effective teaching of medical students and resident physicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive family medicine care with a focus on obstetrics, including prenatal, labor, and delivery services.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Engage in teaching, mentorship, and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in clinical research and contribute to scholarly activities within the department.
  • Develop and implement innovative practices to enhance patient care and department efficiency.
  • Maintain and foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine. A valid medical license to practice in the state of Missouri or the ability to obtain one.

Candidates will be evaluated on:

Substantial experience in obstetrics. Strong commitment to teaching and academic excellence.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
