Learning Standards Specialist
- Valkyrie Enterprises has immediate openings for a Learning Standards Specialist to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) in Dahlgren, VA.
Job Description:
- Assists in the management of learning standards required to properly train personnel detailed to serve on surface ships
- Assists in the implementation of requirements in Electronic Classroom environments and the proper integration of curriculum
- Provides expertise in curriculum test analysis and implementation of requirements and standards for use in Learning Management Systems
- Analyzes proposed changes and additions to curriculum and training systems to determine requirements for implementation and impacts to training processes and system readiness
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 3 years' experience in Navy Training Management, training material development, authoring tools and life cycle maintenance.
- Must have an understanding of Electronic Classroom (ECR) environments to include ECR LAN webpages and My Navy Portal (MNP) Community of Practice (COP) functionality.
- Must have experience in curriculum test item analysis and Learning Management Systems (LMSs).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Content Planning Module (CPM) and Learning Objects Module (LOM), and LEAD, preferred.
- Experience as a Navy Instructor (MTS preferred)
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes and procedures highly desired
Security Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel required.
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways (areas that could cause claustrophobia)

Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
