Who We Need

?As a Systems Architect you will design and implement scalable and high-performing architectures for software-in-the-loop testing and performance testing of embedded systems, and dynamic virtual hardware deployments. You will be responsible for delivering cloud-native solutions using technologies such as Kubernetes, containerization, and DevSecOps pipelines. This role requires collaboration with various teams, ensuring robust integration, security, and performance across the development lifecycle. Your ability to devise, analyze, and propose alternate courses of action for software testing, virtualization, software deployment, modelling and simulation tools, and digital twin development will be key to your success in this role.

What You'll Do

  • Design and architect solutions for software-in-the-loop (SiL) testing environments, ensuring scalability and performance.



  • Design, implement, and manage performance testing frameworks to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.



  • Architect and manage dynamic virtual hardware deployments, including right-sizing infrastructure based on resource needs, all while honoring configuration management and change control processes, including NIST standards for security in software composition.



  • Implement Kubernetes-based and non-Kubernetes architectures as designed by software producers, including containerization, scalability, and network integration.



  • Manage container images, repositories, and registry architectures for secure and efficient application deployment. Knowledge of deployment tools such as Helm, FluxCD, etc.



  • Build and optimize, and use existing, DevSecOps pipelines that integrate security measures into the CI/CD process to ensure compliance and code security.



  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, performance, and security in all architectural designs.



  • Document architecture decisions, ensure adherence to best practices, and maintain high standards for security and scalability.



  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new technologies, advising the team on best practices.

Your Qualifications

Required




  • US citizenship, and the ability to obtain and retain a security clearance.



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.



  • 3-5 years of experience in architecting solutions, preferably with expertise in Kubernetes, containerization, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), DevSecOps practices, and emulation of the hardware components of a computing architecture.



  • Knowledge of software-in-the-loop testing environments and performance testing methodologies.



  • Experience with dynamic scaling and virtual hardware deployments.



  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration tools.



  • Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and integrating security tools within the pipeline.



  • Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and deployment tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance optimization.



  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.




Desired




  • Certification in Kubernetes or relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).



  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST and OWASP.



  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, LoadRunner, etc.



  • Automotive, defense, or other embedded systems experience.
