Responsibilities Transitional Year (TY) RESIDENCY PROGRAM DIRECTOR Program Director duties will be consistent with ACGME accreditation requirements. The Program Director will have academic faculty appointment through the affiliate medical school. The type of such appointment depends on the experience and academic qualifications including research and scholarly activities. PROGRAM DIRECTOR TY RESIDENCY Under the direction of the Regional VP Medical Education (RVP), the Program Director is responsible for the general administration, curriculum planning, recruitment, and teaching and supervision of Residency Program. The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the Program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of such. The Program Director is expected to support integration of the Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice and medical education. Responsibilities of the Program Director are as follows: Dedicate no less than 50% (at least 20 hours per week) of his or her professional effort to the administrative and educational activities of the Program.
