The Honors College is seeking temporary/part time faculty for the Fall 2024 and Spring/Summer 2025 academic terms to teach Honors University Studies courses.
Please note, part-time Honors College faculty typically only teach 1 course a semester and the College rotates through faculty to diversify offerings.

Honors University Studies class: This course is an Honors section of a University Studies course in the instructor's discipline. The section will cover the typical content of the university studies class, but will offer unique learning experiences, such as seminar format, extensive use of primary sources, more intensive laboratory work, or hands-on experience.

HON 210/211/212 (3 credits): Interdisciplinary Seminar that offers an in-depth investigation of a special topic using the approaches of several disciplines. HON 120/121 (1 credit): Enrichment Seminar that encourages learning beyond the classroom through a more "hands-on," direct experience approach (field work, travel, or individual projects). HON 191 (1 credit): Introduction to Research and Discovery is an overview of research procedures in discipline areas, including literature searches and data collection, that emphasizes applied learning and the development of basic skills appropriate to the discipline. HON 399 (1 credit): A Thesis Preparation Course is designed as a workshop to help students prepare for their thesis experience, understand the value of undergraduate research, and develop a full-fledged proposal of a research project.
