Manchester, NH

The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus in Manchester, NH is looking for a Per Diem Athletic Trainer. You will report to the Campus Recreation Administrator and will provide daily medical coverage to assigned club sports along with injury prevention, recognition, treatment, rehabilitation, and maintenance of accurate records of injuries.

What you'll do:

  • Help provide daily medical coverage to assigned sports
  • Oversee Injury prevention, recognition, treatment, rehabilitation, and maintenance of accurate records of injuries for club sports
  • Be involved with coaches and student athletes along with ensuring the safety of patients and staff by enforcing OSHA policies and safety procedures
  • Uphold established University athletic training procedures is expected
  • Travel with athletic teams will be required
  • Other responsibilities as assigned. Job tasks can change at any time, with or without notice.

What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of working experience in an athletic training program
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • NH State license in Athletic Training
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of an array of therapeutic modalities
  • Experience using multiple preventable adhesive strapping techniques
  • Knowledge and skill in administration of therapeutic and preventative exercise protocols
  • Proficiency at developing rehabilitation programs for multiple athletic injuries and systemic evaluation of athletic injuries
  • Certified member of the NATA in good standing
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $39.94 - $63.91. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $44.13 - $59.71.
