The Manufacturing Engineering intern will work at the Composite Sealing Systems Divisional Headquarters in San Diego, CA. The intern will work in the engineering department and will provide support to product engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting, improving and sustaining production processes for manufacturing operations consistent with team objectives. The internship is designed to be a full-time on-site position for the 2025 summer semester. The start and end date for the internship is flexible. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Perform time studies on production parts * Develop systems to enhance flow of material through the production area * Perform process capabilities studies for various manufacturing processes. * Set up or expand current manufacturing methods to meet current trends. * Work on assigned projects related to production improvements. * Help define and design small upgrades and identify sources for improved components. * Work with High Performance Teams and various engineers on miscellaneous continuous improvement projects. * Assist with various related engineering functions, e.g., design, costs reduction, and quality control. * Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area. * Perform other duties as necessary. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $19.2 hourly to 24.6 hourly.
