Provides a business support service to the HR operations team, to deliver a high quality, effective and efficient day-to-day management of the background screening and some human resources administrative activities. Liaise with other HR teams to ensure processing of all employment backgrounds.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - HR Onboarding QA Specialist

  1. Conducts daily processing and review of all new hire backgrounds to satisfy job requirements based on hiring position prior to scheduled start date while keeping frequent communication with onboarding specialist and recruiter.
  2. Manages additional background screening requirements are mandated by state agencies, i.e. Department of Community Health fingerprinting backgrounds.
  3. Works with candidates, onboarding specialist, recruitment and HR leadership to resolve escalations timely.
  4. Responsible for daily reports from background vendor to notify onboarding specialist of upcoming action items and follow up tasks needed to qualify each new hire.
  5. Accountable for working within guidelines to provide minimal turnaround and high quality results on background reviews.
  6. Utilizes a system to document the audit and review process.
  7. Maintains knowledge of organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  8. Performs random and/or scheduled audits as required.
  9. Proactively escalates issues to supervisor/manager to ensure prompt service. Represents the company in a professional manner.
  10. Provides regularly scheduled findings to supervisor/manager to ensure compliance with departmental guidelines/procedures.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  2. Three (3) or more years of Human Resources experience.
  3. General knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures and Healthcare compliance. Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet and database usage, Excel and Microsoft Word.
  4. Must be technology savvy and highly organized. High degree of emotional intelligence.
  5. Ability to follow precise procedures with attention to detail. Strong multi-tasking and ability to work through ambiguity.
  6. Excellent communication and people skills. Strong customer services skills and attitude. Ability to work with a team to create effective departmental strategies and meet team goals.
  7. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. Three (3) years of HR Shared Services and/or Quality Assurance experience, representing HR/Health insurance industry. Advanced with Microsoft Excel.
