Director, Support Services (Facilities & EVS)

Job Description

Orzac Center for Rehabilitation- Directs and oversees implementation of policies governing the safe and efficient operations across non-clinical support services, including EVS and Engineering.

Job Responsibility

• Leads a Support Services group by communicating with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function or geographic area.
• Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
• Through directors and managers, plans and directs operations of multiple non-medical service functions
• Ensures that operations meet the needs of the organization and its patient population.
• Establishes operational procedures, guidelines, and budgets and ensures compliance in all areas.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior healthcare engineering experience, strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, strongly preferred.
• Healthcare Facilities Certification such as Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) certification, OSHA Safety and Health Fundamentals Certificate program, or related ASHE certifications for health care facilities professionals
