Join Our Mission

As a PD Group Home Worker, you will be responsible for creating a therapeutic and nurturing home environment for youth in a group home setting. The goal of the position is to maintain a safe, secure atmosphere conducive to the youth's positive growth and change. This includes teaching daily and independent living skills, mentoring and promoting community integration.

Job Responsibilities



  • Maintain a safe, secure atmosphere conducive to the youth's positive growth and change.
  • Teach youth daily and independent living skills, mentoring and promoting community integration.
  • Responsible for monitoring the behavior of the youth living in the home, which includes mediating disputes, taking dangerous items out of a client's possession or coaching.
  • Assist Group Home leadership with the admission of new youth and discharge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • High School Diploma or GED, required; Associates Degree in Human Services, preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with at risk youth preferred
  • TCI, First Aid/CPR certification required or ability to obtain and maintain certification
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, outside of normal business hours including nights and weekends.
  • Pay starts $20 hourly and is based on experience/education



Schedule



  • School Days: Monday - Friday 6am-9am + weekend availability preferred
