HJF is seeking an Epidemiologist III to provide epidemiological, computer programming, biostatistical and laboratory procedure support for a specified project. This is the third of five epidemiologist levels.

This position will be in support of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. The epidemiologist in this position will primarily work on studies of the Environmental Determinants of Cancer among members of the US Military. These studies involve the assessment of Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) and other exposures from pre-diagnostic serum samples. The serum biomarkers will be analyzed in conjunction with measures of genomic, proteomic and possibly metabolomic profiles to assess susceptibility and risk of development of various cancers. This position would provide great experience and opportunities for a junior doctoral level epidemiologist who has some prior experience in analyses of "omics" and exposure mixtures.
