Your Role With Us:

As an Accounting Clerk II at Salem Health, you will manage the accounts payable process by ensuring accurate coding and approval of invoices, timely vendor payments, and compliance with IRS regulations for employee reimbursements. You will collaborate with departments like Information Services and Material Management to maintain efficient A/P processes and oversee monthly reporting, including journal entries and month-end closing. Additional duties include maintaining vendor W-9s, processing IRS Form 1099, training new staff, reconciling vendor statements, handling audit work papers, responding to vendor inquiries, and processing various financial transactions like garnishments, refunds, and ACH/wire payments. You'll also perform other tasks as requested by the Accounting Supervisor, Controller, or Director of Finance.

Background/Expertise:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Experience:

  • Minimum of Two (2) years accounts payable required.
  • Experience with purchase order system required.
  • Experience with high volume accounts payable preferred.
