HJF is seeking a Site Coordinator (San Diego, CA) to support the Suicide Care, Prevention, and Research Initiative (Suicide CPR Initiative) within the Medical and Clinical Psychology (MPS) department of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. The Site Coordinator will support a research study evaluating a relationship enrichment program that seeks to equip military couples with evidence-informed strategies to adaptively cope with stressors as a unified team. This position is a 1-year project-based role at 10 to 20 hours a week starting January 2025. The Site Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating weekend retreats in the San Diego, CA area; they will also be responsible for supporting participant recruitment from military installations in the area (e.g., Naval Base San Diego) and across the Southwest region.
The Site Coordinator is expected to work approximately 10 to 20 hours per week overseeing tasks in the San Diego, CA area to include managing participant recruitment and retreat logistics in the assigned region, and delivering a sub-clinical intervention to military couples. Additional tasks will include coordination with local military communities and leadership, communicating with participants, and regular communication with the USUHS research team via phone, email, and video conference.
