Job Purpose

The Accounts Payable Recovery Specialist is responsible for identifying duplicate payments and other missing credits to recover any funds owed to Herc Rentals that might not have been obtained during the normal course of business. The recovery specialist will work with identified suppliers as well as other internal stakeholders to determine if credits are missing and needed. The recovery specialist will also assist in pre-escheatment reviews to minimize possible liabilities.

In addition, this agent role will assist with process standardization, process improvement and any ad hoc projects the AP manager may assign

What you will do...

  • Develop and execute reporting to identify suppliers with possible open credits
  • Manage the beginning of the account reconciliation process
  • Identify missing invoices and credits to be obtained from suppliers
  • Work with suppliers and key stakeholders to resolve open credits
  • Contact suppliers to resolve unreconciled payments
  • Key invoices from suppliers into Herc ERP system
  • Research and analyses over duplicate reports
  • Assist with month end close process
  • Work and respond to inquiries sent via phone or email

Requirements

  • Bachelor - Business-related field and/or relevant experience in lieu of a degree

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Basic project management experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools-advanced Excel skills for data query reporting mandatory
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills mandatory
  • Strong work ethic

Compensation Data

$24-$26 an hour
