The Technical Writer in Product Support creates, maintains and provides technical documentation, manages the storage of the documentation and distributes the documentation to the Field Service organization. This role interacts with internal teams to define end user needs, develop new content, maintain compliance with regulations, and maintain currency across the Bio-Rad portfolio of products.The Technical Writer will make the complex easy to understand for our global field service organization, enabling the field to provide a better customer experience when service repair is required.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Service Manual development, refinement and distribution for commercial products.
  • SharePoint site management, organization and currency control.
  • Participate in New Product Development projects, developing service documentation for future products.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders to ensure documentation meets end user needs and while meeting quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with department personnel and develop and revise service documentation development and revisions. Release service documentation on SAP.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in English or related field to industry.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years experience in a similar position in our industry. Experience with ISO guidelines and FDA regulations a must.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and writing skills. Strong technical understanding.
  • Ability to work independently. Results-driven to committed timelines and ability to multi-task across multiple projects.
  • Project management skills, prioritization skills and good knowledge of desktop publishing and software for handling document creation, publishing and graphics design preferable with the Adobe software suite.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $59,100 to $101,000 at the time of posting. This range is inclusive of all geographic locations within the United States*. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of an offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.

*Minimum reflects our lowest paying locations, and the top end reflects our highest paying locations. The range in your geographic location will vary but will be within the indicated ranges.
