The basics of this position:

The Surgical Technology department at STLCC is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time adjunct position for our Associate Degree Program. This adjunct member may be responsible for laboratory, clinical, and lecture coordination as assigned.

What you'll do:



  • This faculty member will be primarily responsible for laboratory and clinical instruction with some lecture instruction. Clinical instruction will require travel to hospital sites. Duties will be assigned as needed each semester.


Education, experience, and other requirements:

1. Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
2. Posses a credential in the field of surgical technology though a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
3. Have a minimum total of three years of recent scrub experience or teaching experience in the field of Surgical Technology within the last five years.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Recent surgical technology preceptor experience.
* Possess an Associates or Bachelor degree in any field.
* Community college teaching experience.
* More than three years of recent scrub experience or teaching experience in the field of surgical technology within the last five years.
