As the Director of Clinical Projects, you will coordinate, design, plan, and develop clinical evaluation research studies. This includes preparing and authoring protocols and patient record forms, as well as conducting both registered and non-registered clinical studies for products that meet medical needs and demonstrate commercial potential. You will coordinate and interpret the results of clinical investigations in preparation for new drug, device, or consumer applications. Additionally, you will lead the operational aspects of clinical trials in collaboration with project teams, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), good clinical practice (GCP), and specific country regulations in Fort Worth, Texas! In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Crafting and providing oversight of clinical research programs.
  • Forming relationships with key opinion leaders and applies their input to improve study design and protocols.
  • Confirming clinical research program design meets scientific objectives and is aligned with commercial needs.
  • Acting as a medical and scientific consultant for marketing and research project teams, as well as government regulatory agencies. This role may also involve leading all aspects of post-marketing studies.
  • Establishing the criterion crucial for figuring out safety, efficacy, and medical utilities.
  • Interpreting results of Phase I to Phase III investigations in preparation for new-drug or medical device application.
  • In certain organizations, may act as the safety expert for specific clinical projects or supervise marketing studies.
  • In some organizations, may provide oversight of the Alcon Research Clinic (ARC) operations, the clinical studies at ARC, and the Alcon processes associated with conducting studies at ARC.

What you'll bring to Alcon:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs).
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
  • 10 Years of Proven Experience
  • 6 Years of Proven Leadership
