A senior leader on Key's investor relations team. Entrusted to help drive quarterly earnings and conference prep, interact with Key's Executive Leadership Team, and keep management informed of industry / competitor developments

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving Key's external communication strategy with analysts and investors, focused on enhancing communications, governance, process efficiency and overall effectiveness of the IR function
  • Collaborate with internal partners to drive content, messaging and disclosures to be used by executive leadership in public forums that helps investors understand Key's story, competitive position in the market, and ultimately enables them to make informed investment decisions
  • Assist in preparation of external materials and in ensuring senior leaders are well prepared for engagements - executives' scripts, anticipated Q&As, earnings and conference presentations, regulatory filings, annual report, etc.
  • Support relationships with the investment community, including over time, become entrusted to communicate directly, without supervision, with external analysts and investors
  • Keep executive leadership informed of peer dynamics and market trends, including by sharing relevant analyst research to executive management and finance colleagues in an easily digestible, consumable way
  • Monitor relative stock valuation, shareholder ownership trend changes, and assist with investor targeting strategies
  • Help drive an effective fixed income and credit rating agency relationships program
  • Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of annual report and annual meeting, working closely with General Counsel, Communications, SEC Reporting, Marketing, and HR
  • Manage ad hoc and special projects as they arise
  • Help mentor junior members of the investor relations team
  • Actively monitor and maintain consensus model. Help identify analyst model disconnects and variances.
  • Oversee conference, earnings and NDR logistics and coordinate third-party service providers

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of financial services experience across Investor Relations, investment banking, equity / fixed income research, FP&A or corporate strategy
  • Solid understanding of banking and financial services industry, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Capital and drivers of profitability and valuation
  • Strong writing and communication skills, must be comfortable writing scripts and crafting talking points
  • Enthusiastic / energy to always be learning, with an 'executive presence,' e.g., communicates concisely, generally likeable and interpersonal, has an ability to 'read the room'
  • Demonstrated analytical background; quantitative skills - ability to 'review and challenge' assumptions while maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-sensitive deadlines and multiple demands
  • Organized with project management skills - demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Ability to learn and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Sound business judgment and ethics
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, and to work evenings and weekends, as needed

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience / Master's degree a plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $115,000 to $135,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
