Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We apply advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native and Quantum Physics to solve our customers' missions in cyber, RF, undersea, interstellar and everything in between.

You'll make an impact by coordinating proposal development activities in collaboration with the Proposal Manager and analyzing RFPs to determine complaint response structure and format. The Advanced Proposals Specialist will develop any required custom templates and/or formats. You'll also lay out proposals across volumes (format, font, consistency) and create actual volumes (electronic, paper form). Utilizing your exceptional communication skills, you'll facilitate and coordinate proposal team communications. We'll count on you to manage proposal reviews with Proposal Manager or Review Team Lead and prepare all proposal materials for the reviews. It's a challenge that will put your talent in the spotlight.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Word.
  • Proficient knowledge of proposal coordination and management.
  • Proficient in use of SharePoint and/or Microsoft Teams collaborative TeamSites.
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. Government contracting and acquisition practices.
  • Understanding of business and technical strategies as they relate to business growth.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS) and Other Transaction Authority (OTA) proposals.

  • Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) clearance.

What else you should know:

  • Being clearable for a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Intelligence Community Top Secret security clearance is highly desired. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is require
  • Travel as much as 25% is required for assigned proposals, nominally for two-week periods at a time.
  • Overtime may be required to complete proposal tasks on time, as necessary.
  • While on-site, you will be a part of the Fair Lakes location. Please note, the Fair Lakes building will be transitioned to Chantilly, VA by April 2025.

Target salary range: USD $91,022.20/Yr. - USD $98,488.90/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
