Job Overview

The Editorial Analyst enables and empowers the Content team with analytic insight to support strategic planning, tactical execution, and optimization of the content strategy. This position develops and delivers business intelligence and presents actionable reporting and analysis to support decision-makers. They support the content team by analyzing performance of digital platforms in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as site merchandising and Marketing Strategy. They must multi-task through stages of multiple projects and deliver quality insights and impactful recommendations regularly to drive business decisions and growth.

What You Will Do

Digital Analytics - Site & CRM

  • Utilize analytics tools to track digital content performance, answer business questions and communicate performance, insights, and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Produce ad hoc analyses to understand consumer shopping behaviors, meet business objectives and inform content strategies. Develop and publish reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with content leadership to create Adobe dashboards and a measurement approach that leads to automation and reporting efficiencies. Monitor data integrity within the Adobe data set, reporting potential issues to management to ensure the accuracy of enterprise data.
  • Partner with CRM to develop benchmarks for editorial email & push campaigns. Develop analysis and reporting to inform content strategy.

Customer Analysis & Insights

  • Dive into customer data to identify key trends and behaviors, crafting strategic recommendations that inform content decisions across digital platforms.
  • Support key deliverables such as the Monthly Content Planning, Season Content Vision, and ad hoc analyses.

Data Visualization & Reporting

  • Design and coordinate visually engaging presentations that transform intricate data findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholder and executive meetings.
  • Produce detailed reports from raw data sets to support and advance content strategy initiatives.
  • Partner with Data Analytics to build and refine dashboards using tools like Adobe, Tableau and Power BI to effectively communicate insights.

Business Development & Weekly Business Review:

  • Support Weekly Business Review preparations with content insights across all marketing channels - ability to explain why our marketing and content strategies resonated with our customers and identifying reactive opportunities
  • Arming key marketing, digital, and merchandising leaders with weekly insights and recommendations to improve business performance
  • Identify & scope new content intelligence platforms for organizational use.

Skills You Will Need

Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in analyzing performance metrics and deriving actionable insights. Expert in web analytics tools, preferably Adobe Analytics.

Business Intelligence: Ability to develop and deliver comprehensive business intelligence and reporting to support decision-makers.

Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Customer & Digital Teams.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in utilizing analytics tools and developing Adobe dashboards for data analysis and reporting. Experience with Tableau or other visualization platforms a plus.

Communication: Effective in communicating performance insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Strategic Planning: Aptitude for developing measurement plans and KPIs to gauge the success of site optimizations and strategies.

Initiative: Motivated to research and monitor business performance in real time, identifying issues and opportunities as they occur.

Ownership: Strong desire and ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion.

  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Statistics, Analytics, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Consulting, Strategy, or E-commerce/Retail Analytics is required.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
