Job Summary

Studies criminal behavior and history to apply psychological and behavioral theories to criminal investigations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works with all levels of the judicial system 
  • Provides expert testimony at trial 
  • Observes and interviews people to determine their emotional and behavioral problems/disorders
  • Provides counseling to victims of a crime
  • Provides counseling to sex offenders and other criminals
  • Reports on mental status and criminal profiles
