Vice President, ABS Origination

Vice President, ABS Origination, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, New York, NY:

Support senior ABS bankers in creating, developing and presenting business ideas across non-traditional asset classes, taking lead in outlining and overseeing initial versions of client presentations and pitch book materials and incorporating comments from senior ABS bankers. Lead transaction execution by coordinating the process across third parties (issuers, lawyers, rating agencies, accountants, trustees, etc.), reviewing offering and transaction documents, overseeing preparation of sales memos and internal approval documents, amongst other responsibilities. Interact with internal and external parties to ensure seamless execution on mandated transactions and oversee the ultimate settlement of non-traditional ABS transactions. Collaborate closely with senior ABS bankers and other internal parties on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and other strategic transactions where ABS is expected to play a role. Advise junior staff on maintenance of internal databases of market data, including spreads/yields, deal pricing details, trading data, league tables, etc. Proactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the business. Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities. Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $250,000.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field and 5 years work experience. Employer will accept 3- or 4-year bachelor's degree.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in:

• Bloomberg, Finsight, and Intex;
• Coaching and mentoring junior Analysts and Associates for transaction/pitch execution, database development/maintenance;
• Trading floor environment;
• Creating, developing and presenting business ideas for transportation leasing, media IP, renewables, single-family rental and communication infrastructure ABS issuers;
• Executing ABS transactions across sectors (flow or non-traditional asset classes); and,
• Developing pitch books for ABS issuers.

Must have or be able to obtain Series 7, 63, and 79 certifications.

International travel required up to 10%; Domestic travel required up to 40%.
