What is the opportunity?

The Program Director of Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM)/ End of Life (EOL) is a strategic leader responsible for developing and overseeing the end-to-end management of the organization's technology assets and infrastructure lifecycle. This includes planning, procurement, deployment, optimization, and decommissioning of hardware, software, and systems. The role ensures technology investments are efficient, secure, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.

Position reports into the TI Risk and Regulatory and is responsible for supporting the identification and mitigation of Enterprise Technology Lifecycle Management (End of Life) program. TLM provides operational support across the Enterprise including all entities including execution, regulatory remediation, controls and technology platform. Interfaces with organizations across RBC, and other key support functions across the RBC US Enterprise.

What will you do?

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive technology lifecycle management (TLM)/ End of Life (EOL) strategy.

  • Oversee the lifecycle of enterprise IT assets including infrastructure, end-user devices, software, and cloud services.

  • Establish governance policies for end-of-life transitions.

  • Collaborate with, cybersecurity, and operational teams to ensure compliance.

  • Support a portfolio of strategic initiatives. Review and challenge progress on the initiatives. Facilitate executive decisioning and escalations on the initiatives.

  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of RBC's Enterprise Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM)/ End of Life (EOL) Policy, regulatory and compliance standards and operations.

  • This requires routinely authoring detailed reports and gathering metrics to ensure stakeholders receive accurate and complete information.

  • Provide management and oversight to the TLM program's various projects and workstreams.

  • Participate in all phases of the TLM/EOL internal control monitoring process including planning, testing, evaluating risk, identifying mitigating controls, developing conclusions, writing reports, and maintaining work papers.

  • Overarching Management of compliance of TLM/EOL: Applications and Infrastructure assets (Hardware & Software) from Governance framework, documentation, planning, deployment, and implementation at the Enterprise level.

  • Operationalize, capacity and lifecycle management of all hardware and software supporting the assets across the enterprise for all lines of business.

  • Lead specific initiatives that will support integration of technical processes, people, change management and business development efforts.

  • Champion strong governance in the TLM/EOL.

  • program decision framework/methodologies with T&O partners (Applications and Infrastructure)

  • Provide senior management and executives with reporting and timely updates on Enterprise strategic updates.

  • Lead TLM transformational regulatory program to provide oversight and closure of gaps in processes/practices spanning multiple lines of business and functional areas within T&O.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Undergraduate degree or 5 years equivalent work experience coupled with compliance and governance practice in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.

  • Strong organizational, program and time management capabilities.

  • A strong understanding of technology, compliance governance and remediation procedures in the financial services industry.

  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.

  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers.

  • Deep knowledge of IT lifecycle processes, ITIL framework, asset management and infrastructure.

Nice-to-have:

  • Program or Project management certification, Agile Scrum

  • CRISC, CISA, CISM CRSM, CISSP

The good-faith expected salary range in NJ for the above position is $160,000-250,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
