WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Grid Compute Framework team is looking for a candidate to help evolve our new framework for high performance grid compute to be used for large scale analytics computations. In this role, the candidate is expected to work with local counterparts, focusing on Equity Derivative groups for their analytics component, to understand their needs for using the framework, propose improvements to the system, and implement such improvements for use with our quantative counterparts. This role has the opportunity to work with teams that develop the analytics systems and can provide growth in knowledge of such analytics.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Face off with counterparts in the NY, both on technology and quantative groups.

  • Collect requirements required by counterparts, propose solutions to resolve their needs.

  • Implement the solutions alongside the global team of developers.

  • Monitor and manage the operation of the system during North American core hours.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Strong professional experience in C++ and Python.

  • Willingness to work with other languages such as C# and Java.

  • Good knowledge of analytics and risk for 1 or more financial products, preferably in equity derivatives

  • Interest in developing technical skills by keeping up to date with latest trends in application design and new language features/usage.

  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex technical ideas.

  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities, as well as an ability to work closely with others.

  • Curiosity about how technology can be used to solve real world problems.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in working with distributed analytics for the purpose of price and risk calculations.

  • Experience in developing on a large scale distributed computation platform, or developing the platform itself.

  • Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation

  • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers

  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses

The Good-Faith Expected Salary Range For The Above Position Is $85,000 - $160,000 Depending On Factors Including But Not Limited To The Candidate's Experience, Skills, Registration Status; Market Conditions; And Business Needs.This Salary Range Does Not Include Other Elements Of Total Compensation, Including A Discretionary Bonus And Benefits Such As A 401(K) Program With Company-Matching Contributions; Health, Dental, Vision, Life And Disability Insurance; And Paid Time-Off Plan.
