Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Advisor Desktop Salesforce technology team is looking for a Sr Salesforce developer to work on large cross-divisional and transformational programs with multiple applications and/or 3rd party vendors. In this role you will be partner with IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.

What will you do?

Technical Direction and Consulting

  • Consultant on technical and management direction for strategic projects within the Advisor Desktop (Salesforce).
  • Research emerging trends/best practices and determines implications of proposed solutions on meeting business unit strategy.

Testing & Documentation

  • Manages all aspects of testing and verification ensuring all tasks are performed for all interfaces.
  • Ensures adequate technical documentation and training.

Planning, Implementation & Support

  • Manages all aspects of implementation planning & coordination.
  • Develops accurate estimates for the design, build, implement and stabilize phases of the project.

Relationships & Communication

  • Acts as primary IT liaison with multiple interfacing applications, 3rd party vendors, IT Executive and/or Project Managers.
  • Develops criteria to evaluate 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises. For very complex projects, conducts due diligence; for less complex projects, oversees the process.

Development & Coaching

  • Provides direction, expertise, feedback, coaching and development to build the capability of more junior staff.
  • Continually enhances skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • BS or MS degree in a technology related field.
  • 3+ years Salesforce Developer experience (org size over 2000 users)
  • Strong background in Apex, Java Script and Lightning Web Components.
  • Experience with salesforce dev and deployment process using SFDX or similar.
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce Automation tools Flows and Approval Processes.
  • Integration tools & techniques (SOA, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, etc.)
  • IT Standards, Methodologies, Agile Development.
  • Salesforce development experience in SalesCloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
  • Certifications - Salesforce Certified Admin, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly traded corporation.
  • Knowledge and experience with MuleSoft.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Services domain.

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000-$140,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
