Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Portfolio Manger for RBC's BlueBay Fixed Income team, you will be accountable for leveraging BlueBay's extensive research and credit teams to manage short duration fixed-income mandates and Money Market funds. As a Portfolio Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for the strategy, implementation, active risk decisions, portfolio positioning, and competitive performance of assigned portfolios and mandates.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for overall investment performance of assigned portfolios and mandates
  • Integrate credit and research insights into sector strategy, portfolio positioning, and security selection
  • Evaluate portfolio risk metrics, performance and attribution
  • Communicate investment rationale and market perspectives through client commentary, presentations, and portfolio reviews
  • Work closely with traders to ensure efficient execution

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Haves

  • BA/BS in a related field
  • CFA Charter or on track to completing
  • 5+ years of fixed income market experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of the portfolio management process, portfolio theory, capital and fixed income markets
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships and effectively interact with all levels of staff and personnel
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and presentation skills, attention to detail

The expected salary range for this particular position is $140,000-$230,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
